The arrival at the summit at an altitude of 2860 m above sea level it will be the reward for the efforts made, offering an extraordinary view of the nearby Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo, one of the most spectacular Dolomite peaks that soar above three thousand metres. If we have luck on our side, we will be able to spot ungulates along the slopes of the Piccola Croda Rossa, which here have chosen one of their favorite habitats in the Ampezzo region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Already at the beginning of June 1915, departments of the 23rd, 24th, 53rd and 54th infantry experienced the defensive power of that dark bastion with a heavy tribute of blood. \nIt is interesting to note that the summit of Lavinores has a long, almost flat ridge, overlooking an overhanging rocky cliff on the right and a steep grassy slope on the left. From the summit, the panorama offers a spectacular view of the new Dolomite peaks, in particular of the peaks that act as a backdrop to the Fanes plateau. Naturally, the view also extends to the Tofane, the Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo and the Sennes plateau, with the distinctive peaks of the Croda del Becco, Monte Quaira di Sennes and Monte Sella di Sennes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
